About Us

The Icelandic Canadian Chamber of Commerce is a network of Icelandic and Canadian business and community leaders dedicated to promoting trade between Iceland and Canada.

Our Objectives

The objectives of the ICCC are:
1. To help promote business relations between Iceland and Canada;

2. To be a forum for discussions and deliberations concerning Icelandic-Canadian trade;

3. To be an advisory and consultative body available to Canadian and Icelandic governmental representations;

4. To undertake functions in connection with Icelandic-Canadian trade which may be beyond the scope of governmental representations;

5. To sponsor meetings open to members of the Chamber featuring subjects of interest to the Icelandic-Canadian business community.

Free Trade Agreement

The recent Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the States of the European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) creates significant opportunities for the Icelandic Government and for Icelandic businesses not only to expand trade with Canada but also to inform the Canadian business community as to the opportunities that Icelandic business has to offer.

Jón Ragnar Johnson, the Honorary Consul General of Iceland in Toronto, has written an analysis on the subject.
